HSL Championship

2017 Major - Champions

Sunday, March 1, 2026

Saints Pro Hockey Academy completed their repeat as back-to-back 2017 Major Division champions with a 7-2 win over the Queen City Young Guns at West Edmonton Mall’s Ice Palace.?

Theo Fleming led the way offensively with a hat trick, while Steven Kemp added two goals and two assists to pace the attack. Casen Lakusta chipped in a goal and an assist, and Roman Trembicki recorded three assists as the Saints built period leads of 2-0, 5-2, and 7-2 on their way to the title.?

On the other side, Queen City’s offense was powered by goals from Keller Wilson and Holt Hesse, but their push in the second period wasn’t enough to overcome the Saints’ balanced scoring and strong finish. With contributions throughout the lineup and another standout performance from their top scorers, Saints Pro Hockey Academy officially secured their place as back-to-back champions of the HSL’s 2017 Major Division.
