Sunday, March 1, 2026

Young Kings Hockey claimed the 2018 Major Championship with a 9-5 win over Spartan Hockey Academy at 7 Chiefs Sportsplex & Jim Starlight Centre.?

Young Kings built their lead with a deep offensive effort led by a four-point performance from Nixon Greve, who recorded a hat trick and an assist, and a three-point night from Nixon Lafreniere. McCoy Depew also struck for a hat trick, while Sutton Tams and Rhett Lomness added singles as Young Kings put up one goal in the first period, four in the second, and four more in the third.?

Spartan stayed in the fight with a multi-goal game from Leif Tomiuk and additional markers from Luke Desy, Jayse Grasdahl, and Lucas Rieder, pushing the contest into a back-and-forth second and third period.
