2016 Major - Champions

Monday, March 9, 2026

Young Kings Hockey captured the 2016 Major Championship with a 7-3 win over O2 Grizzlies at East Calgary Twin Arena Blue.?

Young Kings built a 5-0 lead through two periods, scoring twice in the first and three more in the second to take firm control of the game. Their offense was led by multi-goal performances from Thatcher Zaina and Lowen Tailfeathers, with additional goals from Marek Ohler, Jackson Pregernig, and Hunter Lee as they converted seven times on 31 shots.?

O2 Grizzlies broke through in the third period with three late goals from Bennett Pfeiffer, Ben Warren, and Spencer McFadden, but their push came after Young Kings had already established an insurmountable cushion.
