Monday, April 6, 2026

HDC Bandits - 14M captured the 2014 Division Championship with a 4-2 win over HDC Bandits at Great Plains Arena 1.

The championship game was an all-HDC affair, with both teams playing a tight, defensive first period that ended scoreless. The second period belonged to the 14M squad, who erupted for three unanswered goals. Austin Garinger opened the scoring on the power play at 9:55, assisted by Brooks Lee. Weston Bruce responded at 7:56 on a feed from Arie Vdovine, and Nathan Lane added another power play marker at 4:28 on assists from Rowan Montebovi and Brooks Lee to build a commanding 3-0 lead heading into the final frame.

The third period saw one more goal from the 14M team, as Lucas Dharamsi found the back of the net at 18:07 to make it 4-0. HDC Bandits mounted a late push with two goals from Easton Woolfsmith, who scored at 8:14 on a setup from Jay Dhaliwal and later converted on a penalty shot at 7:59. Despite the comeback effort, the 14M team held on for the victory. With multi-point performances from Garinger, Lee (two assists), Bruce, Vdovine, Lane, and Montebovi, HDC Bandits - 14M were crowned 2014 Division Champions at the HSL Championship.
